01
The structural foundation of every Dōgen piece — chosen for longevity, beauty, and resistance to the elements.

Primary Frame
A dense West African hardwood prized for its natural oils and exceptional weather resistance. Develops a beautiful silver-grey patina over time, or can be maintained with teak oil to preserve its warm honey tone.

Enhanced Durability
Iroko timber treated through a high-temperature thermal modification process, enhancing dimensional stability and resistance to moisture, fungi, and UV degradation.

Lightweight & Rust-Free
Marine-grade aluminium with a durable powder-coat finish. Lightweight, rust-proof, and available in a range of custom RAL colours. Ideal for coastal and high-humidity environments.

Anti-Corrosion
Steel frames treated with cataphoresis — an automotive-grade anti-corrosion process that provides exceptional protection against rust, salt air, and moisture.

Sustainable
Sustainably harvested bamboo, one of the fastest-growing natural materials on earth. Treated for outdoor use with a natural warm tone that complements both contemporary and traditional settings.

Structural
Exterior-grade plywood with waterproof bonding, used in structural elements requiring strength and dimensional precision. Finished with UV-resistant lacquer.
